To the Professional Qualifications Correlating Committee:

 

Welcome to the NFPA’s online balloting.  Please follow the instructions below to access and submit your NFPA 1005 Second Draft Ballot, which is due no later than Friday, July 5, 2013.

 

 

Viewing the Second Correlating Revisions Online:

 

To facilitate your online balloting experience, it is suggested that you review the Second Correlating Revisions (SCR’s), prior to accessing your ballot.  Please click on the link below and sign in with your NFPA username and password to view the SCR’s within the draft:

Please note when viewing the Second Correlating Revisions you will have the option to see each revision in its legislative text or in clean text by clicking on the “Hide Edit” button.  In addition, a pdf of the entire list of Second Correlating Revisions has been posted on the Document Information page, which you may print out if needed.

 

 

Submitting Your Ballot: 

 

IMPORTANT:  You must hit SUBMIT to SAVE your work.  Please note the system session will time you out after 60 minutes and any work not submitted will not be saved!

 

1.     To access your ballot online, please click on the link below and sign in with your NFPA username and password:

2.     This will bring you to the balloting home page where you will be able to view all of your open ballots.  However, if you have only one open ballot, please skip to step 4 listed below.

 

3.     If you have multiple open ballots, you will need to select which ballot you would like to work on by using the Action header and selecting the green Start arrow to access the desired ballot.  

 

4.     Choose one of the two choices: 

 

To Vote Affirmative All (Note: If you choose Affirmative All you will be taken to the screen to submit your ballot)

 

·       Select Affirmative All, click on the check box and then click Next.  

·       Scroll to the bottom of the ballot form, check the box next to the Participant Consent statement and click Submit.

 

OR

 

To Vote Affirmative with Exception(s)

 

·       Select Affirmative with Exception(s) , click on the check box and click Next.

·       Click on one of the following choices:  Affirmative with Comment OR Negative OR Abstain and provide a reason for your response in the Add Comments field. 
(Note:  Fields that are left unchecked will be recorded as Affirmative. Reasons are required for Affirmative with Comment, Negative and Abstain responses).

·       Scroll to the bottom of the ballot form, check the box next to the Participant Consent statement and click Submit.

·       If you need to edit a response, select the edit election link (on the lower right of ballot), modify the ballot form, and then re-submit.

 

**You will receive an email confirmation once your ballot has been submitted.   

 

Please note that ballots are due no later than Friday, July 5, 2013.  (You may revisit the balloting link as often as needed to edit your elections up to and including the ballot due date.)

 

For your information, the Public Comments with Statements, Second Revisions with Statements and Second Correlating Revisions with Statements Reports have been posted to your Document Information page, which you may view by clicking the following link and logging in:  www.nfpa.org/1005next.
