NFPA appoints Charles Stravin vice president of business operations

Chuck StravinDecember 19, 2014 – The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) today announced the appointment of Charles (Chuck) Stravin as vice president of business operations, with overall responsibility for developing the strategic vision and operations to serve customers. Stravin reports to NFPA President Jim Pauley. 

“Chuck brings a strong combination of sales, marketing and business planning experience to the NFPA team,” said Pauley. “With a great track record of driving customer growth and operational excellence, he will lead our efforts to serve the evolving needs of our customers and advance NFPA’s mission.” 

Stravin will oversee a product and service strategy that delivers solutions to NFPA’s diverse customers in fire, electrical and building safety. His leadership responsibilities include product development, marketing and advertising, training and certification, sales and order fulfillment. 

As a senior operating executive with more than 20 years of experience, Stravin joins NFPA from Mesa Home Products where he served as president and CEO. He previously served as executive vice president of sales and marketing at Euro-Pro Operating LLC and vice president of finance and business operations for the Holmes Group. Stravin earned a Bachelor of Science from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. He is a Boston area native and lives in Quincy, Massachusetts with his wife and four daughters.
