This guide provides comprehensive guidelines for planning for and implementing safety and emergency response operations at motorsports venues to facilitate effective fire suppression, as well as rescue and medical care for competitors, while also providing for the safety of first responders. What does NFPA 610 address?
Guidelines apply to both indoor and outdoor motorsports events with emphasis on planning and training as a means of ensuring that personnel are equipped with the appropriate resources to handle emergency situations. Specific topics include preparing an incident action plan (IAP); training levels and performance criteria; PPE specifications; and equipment for fire suppression, extrication, EMS, hazardous materials mitigation, course restoration, vehicle recovery, and more.
