Make sure fire and life safety educators are up to the task!

Rely on NFPA 1035 for clear and concise job performance requirements that can be used to determine whether an individual possesses the skills and knowledge to perform as a public or private fire and life safety educator. This Standard specifically covers the requirements for Fire and Life Safety Educator Levels I, II, and III; Public Information Officer; and Juvenile Firesetter Intervention Specialist Levels I and II.

In the 2005 edition:

• The chapters on Juvenile Firesetter Intervention Specialist were revised to reflect current practice within the field.
• Changes were made to the levels of Fire and Life Safety Educator I, II, and III , and their assigned responsibilities to reflect the changing needs of the Fire Service and other disciplines that use this Standard.
• Editorial and formatting revisions provide increased clarity and usability.
