NFPA 1192 merges ANSI requirements for recreational vehicle safety.

With unique characteristics of size and use, recreational vehicles require a distinct set of fire and life safety criteria. The 2005 edition of NFPA 1192 replaces ANSI A119.2 with a complete set of merged requirements regulating the full spectrum of safety from the hazards of fires and explosions.

Provisions govern the installation of systems for plumbing, fuel-burning, electrical, and other safety-related systems.

Major changes in this edition include:

• Clarification of requirements for location and securing of propane containers
• New requirements for high pressure piping
• Revised requirements for fuel tank installation
• Requirements for automatic generator starting systems
