NFPA 1403: Standard on Live Fire Training Evolutions, 2002 Edition

NFPA 1403 applies to the training of fire fighters under live fire conditions and focuses on training for coordinated interior and exterior fire suppression operations while maintaining a minimum exposure to risk for the participants.

Revised to reflect new fire experiences, this 2002 edition includes updated references to other safety-related NFPA® standards, plus:

• A new requirement for periodic evaluation of a training center burn building by a licensed professional engineer with burn building evaluation experience
• Increased prerequisites for students participating in live fire training evolutions
• Increased requirements on becoming familiar with exits and other features of acquired structures
