The Guide to the Wildland/Urban Interface: Firefighter Safety Series Workbook and Video Set is a three part instructional package developed for small community fire departments covering: Fire Behavior, Structure Protection Strategies, and Firefighter Safety in the Wildland/Urban Interface. At the end of each section a set of questions are offered to help reinforce the material presented.
The complete package contains:
- Three 20-minute Video Segments: Fire Behavior, Structure Protection Strategies, and Firefighter Safety in the Wildland/Urban Interface on DVD.
- DVD also includes Instructor Guide Support Materials and Slide Presentations/Videos
- Spiralbound Workbook: includes discussion points and background material for video topics, practice questions for students, full color photographs, and more.
The series has been designed so that the program can be instructor-led in a classroom or self-paced for the individual student. (2003)
