With unique characteristics of size and use, recreational vehicles require a distinct set of safety guidelines. The 2002 edition of NFPA 1192: Standard on Recreational Vehicles regulates the full spectrum of safety criteria considered necessary to provide a reasonable level of protection from loss of life from fire and explosion.
The Standard includes provisions for:
Fuel systems and equipment
Fire and life safety
Also included are rules for LP-Gas detectors and requirements for recreational vehicles used for transporting internal combustion engine vehicles. (Softbound, 32 pp., 2002)
