Fire Service
The Fire Service Section stimulates awareness of the need for continually improving programs in management, training, and education within the profession, and encourages the development of improved fire suppression equipment, apparatus, and all related facilities. Join.

  Electrical
The Electrical Section encourages participation in and contribution to the development of the NEC, National Fire Alarm Code, and other NFPA codes and standards involving installation or use of electrical or fire alarmn system equipment.Join.
  Architects, Engineers, and Building Officials (AEBO)
AEBO promotes cooperation between the architects and engineers involved in the design process, and the building officials who administer and enforce the legal regulations that apply to the built environment. Join.

Building Fire Safety Systems
The Building Fire Safety Sytems (BFSS) Section brings together members involved or interested in promoting fire safety in structures through the application of active fire and life safety systems and equipment in buildings. Join.
  Industrial Fire Protection
The Industrial Fire Protection (IFP) Section brings together professionals working in industrial settings, such as manufacturing properties, refineries, mills, mines, and utilities.  Join.

  Health Care
The Health Care Section promotes the exchange of information, ideas, and experiences in fire, electrical and life safety as they relate to the complex needs and requirements of hospitals, nursing homes, outpatient clinics, and other health care facilities.  Join.

 

Wildland Fire Management
The Wildland Fire Management Section brings together, for mutual professional and technical benefit, those individuals involved in wildland fire management and related activities. Join.

Lodging Industry
The Lodging Industry Section  promotes the interests of NFPA members concerned with fire and life safety in overnight lodging facilities including hotels, motels, lodges, and inns. Join.

 
Education
The Education Section seeks to improve quality of life by reducing the incidence of fire and preventable injury, death, and property loss through education. Join.
 
Fire Science and Technology Educators
The Fire Science and Technology Educators (FSTE) Section promotes the exchange of ideas and information related to curricula development, teaching resources, and program administration. Join.
 
Research
The Research Section  brings together individuals involved or interested in research related to fire safety, fire science, fire codes and standards, fire protection, and related fields. Join.

 
Aviation
The Aviation Section offers members who design, operate, and/or protect aircraft, aircraft facilities, and airports an opportunity to communicate fire and life safety concepts throughout the aviation community. Join.
  Latin American
Section membership is open to any active member who can support the Section's mission, "Increasing the technical levels of fire protection and life safety in Latin America  through shared knowledge and experiences." Join.

 

International Fire Marshals Association
The International Fire Marshals Association (IFMA) Section provides those officials engaged in the prevention of fire, the investigation of fires, and/or public fire and life safety education with an avenue to discuss items of mutual interest, provide educational and professional development opportunities, provide a resource service to the members, actively participate in the code and standards-making process, monitor fire safety issues, monitor and support research and development of solutions to fire protection and fire prevention problems at the international, national, state and local level. Join.

  Rail Transportation
The Rail Transportation Systems (RTS) Section promotes interest in and improvement of fire protection and prevention on rail transportation properties, and pursues improved methods for the safe transportation of passengers and handling of freight and hazardous materials by rail. Join.
 
Metropolitan Fire Chiefs
