What is NFPA 32?
NFPA 32: Document Scope
1.1 Scope. This standard shall apply to establishments hereinafter defined as drycleaning plants.

This standard prescribes safeguards to prevent fires and explosions involving drycleaning processes and to minimize the personal injury and property damage consequences of such incidents.

What does NFPA 32 address?

Requirements are outlined by plant type, which is determined by the solvent in use. In addition, to general requirements, NFPA 32 specifies provisions for Type II, III, and IV drycleaning plants. Topics include maintenance, construction, and building services. Equipment safety criteria cover pumps and piping, filters, drycleaning machines, and more.
