What is NFPA 405?
NFPA 405: Document Scope

1.1 Scope. This standard contains the required performance criteria by which an authority having jurisdiction over aircraft rescue and fire fighting (ARFF) maintains proficiency and effective ARFF at airports.

This standard helps maintain proficient and effective aircraft rescue and fire fighting (ARFF) at airports by presenting criteria by which an authority having jurisdiction can evaluate ARFF performance and which establishes a basis for a recurring training program focusing on measurable and successful training outcomes.
