What is NFPA 703?
NFPA 703: Document Scope

1.1* Scope. This standard provides criteria for defining and identifying fire retardant–treated wood and fire retardant– coated building materials. A.1.1 Fire resistance ratings measured on an hourly basis are not covered in this standard. To establish such ratings, tests should be made in accordance with NFPA 251.
