Created for electrical installers, contractors, electricians, inspectors, and builders who specialize in residential wiring, this document is a compilation of electrical provisions for one- and two-family dwellings that have been excerpted from the National Electrical Code®. Provisions have the same numerical designation as they have in the NEC.

What does NFPA 70A address?
Requirements cover wiring and protection; wiring methods and materials; equipment for general use such as lighting fixtures, appliances, fixed electric space-heating equipment, and generators; mobile homes; and special equipment including swimming pools, solar photovoltaic systems, and fuel cell systems. Criteria are also presented for optional standby systems, fire alarm systems, remote-control systems, and communications systems.
