Official document scope
What does NFPA 720 address?
This standard contains requirements for the performance, installation, operation, inspection, testing and maintenance of CO detection and warning equipment. These requirements address installations of commercial systems and components as well as installations of single- and multiple-station CO alarms and household CO detection systems. This standard does not establish the mandate to install CO detection and warning equipment but it does serve as an installation standard to be used when CO detection and warning equipment is installed in buildings or structures for any reason.Table Of Contents.
