On December 3-5, 2008 NFPA conducted the Remembering When™: A Fire and Fall Prevention Program for Older Adults Conference training conference for 80 scholarship winners.

Scholarships winners were awarded to 40 North American fire department representatives and their partner older adult home visit agency representatives. Participants had to submit applications and letters of support to win the awards. They learned how to use Remembering When  in their home visit programs.  They also learned  how to conduct train the trainer sessions for home visitors and how direct group presentations to older adults. NFPA will also run another conference in November 2009. The application for scholarships will be posted on the Web site later this year.
