Historical NFPA and NBFU Codes for Sale Through the NFPA Catalog (posted 4/13/09) The NFPA Library is pleased to announce that 3,000 NFPA® and NBFU code and standard editions previously available for purchase through the Library, have now been integrated into the NFPA Online Catalog. These include editions from 1996 to as far back as the late 1800’s, all available in PDF format. The library will no longer sell codes.
/IMLS Grant Awarded (posted 03/25/09) The NFPA Library is pleased to announce it has been awarded a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The grant will be used to conserve the 1897 publication “Fires and Public Entertainments” written by Edwin O. Sachs, published by Charles and Edwin Layton. The oversized publication recounts statistical data from fire incidents in places of public assembly. After conservation, the text will be digitized and made available on the NFPA website.

The Library now has digital copies of issues of the necdigest® from 2001 through 2004. Issues from 2005 to the present are coming soon.
National Board Proceedings(posted 5/14/2007) The Library has recently expanded our collection of Proceedings of the National Board of Fire Underwriters. Our collection now extends back to 1866.
Libraryrecords available in MassCat(posted 3/7/2007) The Library' s records have been uploaded and are now available to search through in the Massachusetts Union Catalog.
NFPA Quarterly digitization(posted 1/10/2007)
The Library now has digital copies of issues of NFPA Quarterly® back to the first issue in 1907.

The Library has created a digital repository for historical Report on Proposals and Report on Comments back through the 1970s.
Library Catalog(posted 1/10/2007)
The Library has been adding new material to its online catalog that was previously not searchable. The new collections include unpublished meeting papers presented at NFPA conferences, Firewise/Wildland materials and historical NFPA codes and standards. More material is being added daily, so check back often.
