Information on PDF files
Many of the NFPA Web site files, such as our Report on Proposals and Report on Comments documents, as well as our Fire Investigations, rely heavily upon both page layout and graphical content. This visual information can be lost in the transfer from the printed page or software file to the web page. To maintain the integrity of these documents, we convert these files into Portable Document Format (PDF) files. PDF files are excellent for displaying a document's original information and format on a large number of computer systems. PDF files need special software to be viewed and printed. Adobe Acrobat Reader® software can be downloaded for free from the Adobe Systems Inc. Web site. Adobe, Acrobat, and Acrobat Reader are trademarks of Adobe Systems Incorporated.

NFPA National Fire Codes® Subscription Service
A subscription to the electronic format of the National Fire Codes® Subscription Service from NFPA provides subscribers with online access to the complete set of nearly 300 current NFPA codes and standards. Both previous and current editions of every code and standard can be viewed online or downloaded and saved as a PDF for offline use.
