Learn how to calculate and review sprinkler system hydraulics during this expert-led seminar. Participants will be able to determine occupancy classification and complete sprinkler discharge calculations, including selection of the sprinkler K factor. Features influencing friction loss will be considered, along with water supply and system demand. Participants will have the opportunity to perform sample branchline and whole system calculations. The 2012 NFPA 99's reorganization and expanded coverage usher in a new era of health care facility safety. Renamed the Health Care Facilities Code, this document reflects today's environment of care, with a risk-based framework and fully updated information. Join NFPA 99 Fundamentals Technical Committee member James Lathrop as he discusses some of the major changes in the 2012 edition including deletion of all the occupancy chapters and the chapter on laboratories, revision for electrical equipment and systems, and gas and vacuum systems; and new chapters for plumbing, heating, security and fire protection equipment.
