Regional Fire Code Development Committees

To encourage greater fire service participation in the NFPA Standards Making System, NFPA and IFMA has established four Regional Fire Code Development Committees. The members of these committees are from the fire service in your area, enclosed is a list of the members. These committees’ have responsibility for developing changes to NFPA Standards, reviewing the First Draft and developing comments on changes, and act as a liaison to their region’s fire service for inputting changes to NFPA Standards.

Regional meeting dates are listed below.

Northcentral
April 2, 2013, Snow King, Jackson, WY, starts at 8:00 am and ends by 5:00 pm.

Northeastern
April 10, 2013, Embassy Suites at BWI, Linthicum, MD, starts at 8:00 am and ends by 5:00 pm.

Southern
March 12, 2013, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Antonio Downtown, San Antonio, TX, starts at 8:00 am and ends by 5:00 pm.

Western
April 16, 2013, Hilton Garden Inn, Boise, ID, starts at 8:00 am and ends by 5:00 pm.

There is no cost to attend the meeting. You are responsible for all costs associated with your travel. These meetings are held twice yearly.
