The International Fire Marshals Association (IFMA) Section provides those officials engaged in the prevention of fire, the investigation of fires, and/or public fire and life safety education with an avenue to discuss items of mutual interest, provide educational and professional development opportunities, provide a resource service to the members, actively participate in the code and standards-making process, monitor fire safety issues, monitor and support research and development of solutions to fire protection and fire prevention problems at the international, national, state and local level.
