Submissions will be accepted May 3-9, 2011
May 3, 2011 – The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) today launched a contest seeking opinions from past and potential conference attendees asking them to share their thoughts on why they typically attend – or for first-timers, why they would like to attend – the NFPA Conference & Expo taking place in Boston in June. Submissions of 75 words or less will be accepted on the conference blog May 3-9 and one person will be selected to win a free conference registration for the 2011 or 2012 annual conference.
The NFPA Conference & Expo is the most significant event for fire, security, electrical, and life safety professionals in the nation. It provides for an exchange of ideas between experts in these fields and furthers NFPA’s mission to reduce the worldwide burden of fire and other hazards.
Over 130 education sessions, as well as pre-conference seminars on June 10-11 and post-conference seminars on June 16, will be featured this year. Twelve conference tracks will help attendees gain experience in their particular field: Building and Life Safety, Codes and Standards, Detection and Notification, Electrical, Emergency Preparedness/Business Continuity, Fire and Emergency Services, Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Suppression, Green, Loss Control/Prevention, Public Education, and Research.
