July 16, 2010 – The 2010 July/August issue of NFPA Journal®, the official magazine of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), takes a look at the past, present and future of addressing the needs of people with disabilities in the cover story, Disabilities: Where We’ve Been, Where We Are, Where We’re Going.

Allan Fraser, senior building code specialist, writes an introduction to the series of articles within this story. Each of these articles profiles different individuals, and their unique experiences dealing with different issues of disabilities.
