Risk Watch: Make Time For Safety

Risk Watch Bookmarks
Grades 1-2

Bookmark exampleObjective

  • Students will be able to illustrate safety messages learned in the Risk Watch program.

Core Subject Integration

  • art, reading, health and safety

Materials

  • plain business-size envelopes
  • scissors
  • ruler
  • crayons or markers

Procedure

  1. Give each student a plain business-size envelope.
  2. Have him/her cut off the lower corners in a rounded or scalloped fashion, making sure the straight edges of each bookmark are at least 2" long.
  3. Have students draw a Risk Watch safety scene on each bookmark and write the correlating safety message on the back. Students can slip bookmarks over the top right- or left-hand corners of book pages.

suggestions:

Ages 4-8
