Core Subject Integration
Materials
Procedure
- Make two copies of the Memory Game card sheets to make one deck of 16 cards. Cut out the cards and laminate them for durability.
- Put students into small groups of two or more and provide one deck of cards for each group. Explain the rules of the Risk Watch Memory Game to the students:
* Shuffle
the cards and place them in rows, face down.
* Taking turns, students should flip over two cards. Try to remember
where the cards are. Your goal is to find a matching pair.
* If you find two cards that match, you must state the safety message
that the cards are showing. If you are correct, remove the cards from
the row and take another turn.
* If the two cards you flip over do not match or you do not know
the safety message, turn the cards back over and move on to the next player.
* The game is over when all the cards are matched up. The person
with the most cards wins the game.
