Risk Watch: Make Time for Safety

Give each student a 4" x 6" white flashcard.
Have each student create their own safety message and write it on the top right corner of the blank side of their flashcard.
Have each student illustrate his/her safety message on the blank side of the flashcard.
On the lined side of the flashcard, have each student practice their language arts skills by creating a letter to a family member or friend, using the correct postcard format.
Once the class is finished creating their postcards, they are ready to be sent out to spread the word of safety!
