Expand the lesson!
- Expand the lesson by cutting out the fortunes from the Fortune Sheet and putting
them into a bag or box
- Conduct an experiment
by asking students to reach into the bag for a message, record the
message on the Tally Sheet, and return the message to the bag. Continue
pulling messages from the bag a total of 42 times. Review the Tally
Sheet and
compare/contrast the probability students determined on the "What's Your Fortune?" Worksheet
with the actual outcome of the experiment.
