Make it Safe!
Grades Pre/K

Make It Safe Activity Sheet exampleObjective

  • Students will be able to identify safety precautions that need to be taken in various situations.

Materials

Procedure

  1. Print out the "Make it Safe!" activity sheet and distribute a copy to each student.
  2. Have students cut out the four boxes on the right-hand side of the sheet.
  3. Have students glue or tape the boxes in the larger pictures to complete each safe behavior.

Expand this lesson!

Classroom activity: Enlarge the activity sheet and laminate the pieces. Hang it on the blackboard and have students come up to the board and match up the boxes. Use velcro to hold the boxes to the pictures.

Writing assignment: Have older students cut out the completed pictures and glue or tape them to a sheet of writing paper. Under each picture, students should write a paragraph about the importance of each behavior. Bind the pictures in a safety booklet and have students draw their own safety pictures for the booklet cover.
