NFPA has created several tool kits to help public safety educators conduct successful community education campaigns.

Keeping Your Community Safe with Home Fire Escape Planning
NFPA’s tool kit on  home fire escape planning includes everything you’ll need to help residents in your community make and practice a home fire escape plan. Fire can spread quickly throughout a home, leaving as little as two minutes to escape safely once the smoke alarm sounds. Making a home fire escape plan and practicing a home fire escape drill are important elements of home fire safety.

NFPA’s tool kit on smoke alarms includes everything you’ll need to motivate residents to install and maintain smoke alarms in the home. Smoke alarms that are properly installed and maintained cut the chances of dying in a reported fire in half.
