The quint truck does the work of both a pumper and a ladder truck. Quint means
"five" - this truck has a pump, water tank, hose, ground ladders, and an
aerial ladder. Firefighters using a quint have the tools and equipment to do
the jobs normally done from a pumper or a ladder truck.
