Since 2001, the National Fire Protection Association has conducted a United States national survey of over 26,000 municipal fire departments. In 2015 this survey was modified for the first time to address the lack of understanding in municipal fire department wildfire capabilities and preparedness. This presentation will focus on quantifying the gaps and needs of fire departments that protect communities with less than 10,000 people, many of whom are volunteer departments.

Who will benefit: Small fire department chiefs, County Administrators, Local elected officials, Volunteer firefighters, Fire training coordinators
