Course Objective

Module 2. Owner’s Responsibilities
Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this module participants should be able to:

  • Explain the building owner’s responsibilities for compliance with the standard including performing inspections, tests, and maintenance, making repairs, and record keeping.
  • Explain the relationship between the owner and service providers including defining the scope of the delegated responsibilities.
  • Explain process for managing system impairments

Module 3. Applying the Standard

  • Identify frequencies for inspection, testing, and maintenance items for systems.
  • Explain the interaction between inspections and testing
  • Identify the specific inspection and testing requirements for components of water‐based systems using sprinkler systems as an example.
