CALL FOR PROPOSALS

June 19-22, 2023, Las Vegas, NV

The NFPA Conference & Expo returns in Las Vegas on June 19-22, 2023! To help us make this Conference & Expo the best yet, we are looking for speakers who are passionate about fire, electrical, and life safety and interested in delivering a dynamic and engaging presentation. If the following details describe you, we would love to see your proposal!

  • You are an engaging and interactive speaker, both in-person and virtually
  • Your presentation appeals to all attendees regardless of their level of experience
  • You include case studies, relevant examples or real-life experiences in your presentation to detail or highlight a specific topic
  • You encourage audience participation, open dialogue and facilitated discussion
  • Your presentation demonstrates how different perspectives impact and influence outcomes using specific examples
  • Your motivation for presenting is to educate, not sell
  • You are an expert in your field or topic
  • You have no problem meeting deadlines

 

 

Applications must be received by Monday, September 12, 2022 at 5 p.m. ET.  For assistance regarding the content of your session or the submission portal, please email CFP@nfpa.org

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

  • All speakers are required to use an NFPA slide template for your final presentation
  • Your presentation may NOT promote a product or service
  • Submit final presentation along with any handouts or reference materials by June 1, 2023.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are interested in reviewing proposals from all topics surrounding all aspects of fire, electrical, and life safety, from design, installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, enforcement, response, education, research, and beyond and are particularly interested in sessions that address:

  • Preparedness and Emergency Response
  • Building Life Safety and Construction
  • Fire Protection Systems
  • Electrical Systems
  • Industrial Hazards
  • Emerging Issues
  • Code Compliance
  • Informed Public

The Review and Selection Committee will evaluate all proposals based on such factors as topic relevance, value offered to attendees, and the submitter’s experience and credentials. We are looking for educational sessions that go above and beyond the average podium presentation.
