Fire Technology appoints new members to Editorial Board and new Associate Editor

March 23, 2009Fire Technology, an international, peer-reviewed, quarterly publication of the National Fire Protection Association and Springer U.S., has appointed 14 new members to its Editorial Board.

The Editorial Board additions include Fred Mowrer, University of Maryland; Guylène Proulx, National Research Council Canada; Dan Gottuk, Hughes Associates; André Marshal, University of Maryland; W. K. Chow, University of Hong Kong; Ali Rangwala, Worcester Polytechnic Institute; Patrick Van Hees, Lund University; Guillermo Rein, University of Edinburgh; Arnaud Trouvé, University of Maryland; Karim Ghazi Wakili, EMPA, Switzerland; Brian Lattimer, Virginia Tech; Haukur Ingason, SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden; Bogdan Dlugogorski, University of Newcastle, Australia; and Peter Sunderland, University of Maryland.

In addition to 14 new members, Fire Technology has also added Dr. Craig Beyler, technical director of Hughes Associates, Inc., as an associate editor of the publication. The current editors of Fire Technology include Dr. Jim Milke of the University of Maryland and Dr. John Hall and Kathleen Robinson of the National Fire Protection Association.

Fire Technology covers a range of fire safety science and engineering topics in industrial, operational, cultural, and environmental applications.By providing information from the varied perspectives of physics, chemistry, engineering, and ergonomics, Fire Technology provides exposure to the latest fire science advances.
