Research shows that many women leave STEM in their 30s and 40s for a number of reasons, including raising families or caring for aging parents. This program will focus on educating professionals on the challenges for women in STEM of achieving a balance between work and life, while informing managers on how to provide better support in order to retain valuable talents. It’ll begin with a brief presentation on the statistics surrounding this issue, followed by an interactive game show style panel with Amy J. Murdock, PE, Jennifer L. Hoyt, PE and Jenny Nelson, Q&A, and an hour of appetizers and networking with industry professionals to continue the discussion. Whether you are a women newly entering the field, struggling to decide if STEM is still for you after many years, looking for tips to maintain a work-life balance, or are a manger of women in STEM looking to attract more female talent to your company, you do not want to miss this event!
