Standard for Prevention of Sulfur Fires and Explosions

This standard establishes requirements to eliminate or reduce explosion and fire hazards encountered in the crushing, grinding, and pulverizing of bulk and liquid sulfur, and to the safe handling of sulfur in any form.

Please note:  This Standard is no longer under revision or accepting Public Input due to the Combustible Dust Document Consolidation Plan (consolidation plan) as approved by the NFPA Standards Council.  As part of the consolidation plan, this Standard is slipping cycle and being combined into a new consolidated draft, NFPA 660.  For further information on this consolidated draft, go to NFPA 660.
