NFPA 72 provides the latest safety provisions to meet society's changing fire detection, signaling, and emergency communications demands. In addition to the core focus on fire alarm systems, the Code includes requirements for mass notification systems used for weather emergencies; terrorist events; biological, chemical, and nuclear emergencies; and other threats.
NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus and NFPA’s efforts to safeguard our attendees at NFPA meetings, the July 2020 Second Draft meetings are being cancelled, but will be rescheduled as remote meetings. NFPA extends sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. Once new dates are established for the rescheduled meetings, additional information will be posted on the Next Edition tab. Thank you for your understanding and continued support in the development of NFPA Standards.
