Building Energy Code

This code provides design, construction, and maintenance requirements for the energy efficiency of all buildings, structures, and certain equipment.

Pursuant to Section of the Regulations Governing the Development of NFPA Standards, the Technical Committee on Building Systems has voted to recommend withdrawal of NFPA 900, Building Energy Code, as an ANS standard and to discontinue standards development.  NFPA is seeking stakeholder feedback regarding this recommendation. All feedback received will be provided to the Standards Council for consideration in addition to the Technical Committee’s recommendation.  Stakeholder feedback will be accepted by Standards Administration at through 5:00 p.m. (EST) on October 25, 2022.
